Does an artist have to be a designer?
Can the non-designed art form paradoxically be the purest art form?
Does a god have to be a creator-designer?
It seems to me that Existence is a given. Existence appears self-perpetuating. Theres really no such thing as nothingness. A zero is only a zero in relation to other numbers. An absence indicates a presence.
To my way of reckoning, Existence begets what it begets not deliberately, per se, not accidentally, so to speak, but rather artistically. For example: A piece of toast may show the face of Elvis. Shall we think the toaster and bread somehow pre-planned this artwork? Is it reasonable to think that a toaster and slice of bread have portraiture capabilities? Has Elvis manipulated the toaster and bread from beyond? And yet, there is the face of Elvis for us to ponder.
Ultimately we may never be able to fully account for Existence. Asking why presupposes a reason. Is there a reason? Or can we go no farther than to say the meaning of life is to give life meaning. That works on a personal level, but it doesnt explain the big picture we see on the great cosmic toast.
Oh, well. It is now and we are here. Id like to hold that thought while spreading butter on the kings visage.
